1. Definitions

"Client Portal" means Regula Client Portal available at https://client.regulaforensics.com/

"Content" means text, sound, and video files, as well as graphic images and other files posted on the Website.

"Demo" means Demo-versions of Regula products, such as Document Reader SDK Web API and Face SDK Web API available at https://api.regulaforensics.com/ and https://faceapi.regulaforensics.com/ respectively.

"Regula" ("we", "us", "our/ours") means Regula group of companies, which may operate through different affiliate or subsidiary companies under the Regula trademark.

"Terms" means these Terms of Use.

"User" ("you", "your/yours") means you, as the visitor and the user of the Website.

"Website" means Regula website https://regulaforensics.com/ and its subdomains (including, but not limited to https://faceapi.regulaforensics.com/, https://api.regulaforensics.com/, https://docs.regulaforensics.com/, https://support.regulaforensics.com/, https://client.regulaforensics.com/).

These Terms constitute a binding legal agreement entered into by and between you and Regula.

Here, we explain how you can use the Website, what rights you have, and what other conditions are important for the usage of the Website.

Please read these Terms carefully before using the Website. Please note that by using the Website, you agree to be bound by the Terms.

We may update the Terms from time to time. To stay informed about the updates, please check this page regularly.

3. Website

The Website contains information about Regula’s products (information, documents, certificates, software, services, goods). We provide this information to inform you and to establish business relationships with you or your firm (if applicable).

You have the right to access information from the Website in accordance with these Terms.

You may provide us with your email address to subscribe to our newsletter. You also may contact us via contact form or live chat for discussing our products and establishing a business relationship.

You may register on our webinars or specialized training on the corresponding pages of the Website.

You may register an account via the Client Portal to manage your licenses and receive additional information about Regula products.

You may also use Demo-versions of Regula products, such as Document Reader SDK Web API and Face SDK Web API available at https://api.regulaforensics.com/ and https://faceapi.regulaforensics.com/ respectively.

4. Content

To inform you about our products, we post Content on the Website. All Content posted on the Website is the property of Regula.

You cannot use the Content without prior written approval from Regula. Nothing in these Terms is to be construed as granting exclusive rights to the Content to you.

The website may contain trademarks that are owned by one or more companies or licensed for use, as well as trademarks protected by copyright, trademark rights, and/or other intellectual property rights. We use such trademarks as permitted by their owners.

You may post the link to the Website on other websites, subject to our approval.

We provide links to other websites for your convenience. Please note that we are not responsible for the content of such websites, and we accept no responsibility for your usage of them. For matters of usage of these websites, please refer to their relevant terms of use.

6. Demo pages

You can try out Regula products by accessing the Demo pages.

By using the Demo you agree to these Terms and the Privacy Policy.

Except as prescribed in these Terms, the Demo is provided «as is» and «as available» without any warranties or representations.

The only purpose of the Demo is to demonstrate the functionality of Regula products. You cannot use the Content of Demo pages or utilize the code, API, etc. of the Demo pages for any other purpose.

By using the Demo you confirm that you have obtained all necessary permits for uploading the content to the Demo pages, including, but not limited to, the consent of any individuals whose data you upload.

Please note that some of your data may be processed by Regula or by your browser during the usage of the Demo. More information on the methods of data processing can be found on the relevant Demo pages and in the Privacy Policy.

The Demo apps for Android and iOS are mostly autonomous, except for Facial Liveness and Face matching features. This feature requires access to Regula servers for processing the encrypted data you transfer to us. This data is immediately deleted after processing.

7. Client Portal

You can register an account on the Client Portal. After registration, you can manage your licenses via the "My Licenses" page of the Client Portal.

You can also browse through available products, client libraries, cross-platform frameworks, as well as guides on how to build demo applications and integrate the SDKs.

Each User can have only one account.

Please keep your registration details (such as login/email and password) confidential. You are responsible for all actions carried out under your login and password.

8. Prohibited activities

Please note that the following actions are prohibited:

• any attempts to breach security or authorization processes on the Website;
• disrupting network services;
• uploading or sharing malicious code, viruses, trojans, or malware;
• attempting a denial of service or distributed denial of service (DDoS) attack;
• using personal data of other persons without their knowledge or approval.

When using the Website, you must not upload, post, make available or otherwise transmit any Content that:

• contains threats, insults, or discredits the honor, dignity, or business reputation of Regula or third parties;
• violates intellectual property rights or/and other proprietary rights of Regula or third parties;
• includes hyperlinks, advertisements or any other information unrelated to Regula’s activities;
• contains obscenity or pornography;
• depicts violence or cruelty to animals;
• promotes crime, fascism, racial superiority, or incites hatred and violence based on race, ethnicity, or religion, or contains extremist materials;
• facilitates drug use, illicit trafficking of narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances, or spreads related information;
• infringes upon public morality;
• contains any other information that may be considered illegal, unethical, or related to illegal activities.

9. Disclaimer

Please note that we reserve the following rights:

• the right, at our sole discretion, to block User’s access to the Website at any time for any reason (e.g. User’s breach of these Terms or fraudulent attempt);
• the right, at our sole discretion, to deny any User’s access to information related to Regula’s activities and products;
• the right to suspend or terminate the operation of the Website at any time without prior notice;
• the right to change, at any time without prior notice, the design and content of the Website (e.g. information about materials or services, including products and technical specifications).

10. Indemnification

If you use our Website or services in any way that causes legal issues for Regula, you are responsible for it. You agree to defend and indemnify Regula, as well as our directors, officers, employees, and agents, from any claims, losses, damages, liabilities, including attorneys’ fees, arising out of your use or misuse of the Website or services, violation of these Terms, or violation of the rights of any other person or entity. We reserve the right, at our own expense, to assume the exclusive defense and control of any matter for which you are required to indemnify us, and you agree to cooperate with us in defense of these claims.

11. No liability

Due to the nature of Internet and computer systems, Regula cannot guarantee the continuous availability of the Website and therefore cannot accept any liability for it.

Regula and its directors, officers, employees, or agents shall not be liable for any damages arising from or relating to the use of the Website under any circumstances.

Regula is not liable for, and does not compensate for, any losses that you may experience as a result of downtime or data loss while using the Website.

Regula assumes no liability for the quality or violation of the right to use the information, software, and documentation, especially in relation to the correctness, absence of defects, the absence of claims or third-party rights, completeness, and/or fitness for purpose, except for cases involving willful misconduct or fraud.

12. Other Provisions

These Terms shall take effect from the date they are published on the Website.

The laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia, USA, shall govern these Terms and any disputes or claims arising between you and Regula in relation to these Terms.

If, for any reason, any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable in your country of residence, it shall not affect the validity and enforceability of the remaining provisions.

We are not responsible for access to the information published on the Website in your country of residence. Access to it from the territories where Content is illegal is prohibited.
