Visible and IR spectrum

The Regula 3116 is equipped with two advanced autofocus cameras—a 12 MP visible light camera and a 20 MP infrared (IR) camera—ensuring unmatched precision in capturing evidence. These cameras work seamlessly with light filters, enabling experts to detect and document evidence under white, blue, UV, and IR light sources. This allows investigators to piece together critical details like a puzzle, revealing the full picture of the events that transpired.

Flexible result visualization

The results of investigation can be viewed:

  • Through safety goggles equipped with special cutting filters (420 and 490 nm)
  • On a 6.4-inch HD+ resolution display
  • By broadcasting the image via Wi-Fi or cable to an external monitor

Continuous operation

  • More than 4 hours of continuous work with Li-ion rechargeable batteries
  • The brightness of the LED light sources remains constant, regardless of the battery charge level
  • Charge indicator and an automatic power-of-function
  • Can operate on AC power

Photo and video data storage and transfer

  • Built-in 128 GB Memory with an additional memory card slot for expanded storage.
  • Data Transmission Options:
    - Wi-Fi
    - Bluetooth
    - Mobile Internet
    - USB Type-C

Universal mounting system

The forensic light sources and the capturing device can be attached to the special handle for use in various setups include mounting the equipment on a tripod, an adjustable arm, or a pantograph, depending on the specific requirements of the investigation. The versatility of these mounting options expands the range of forensic applications, enabling experts to adjust the tools to different environments and scenarios, ultimately improving the accuracy and efficiency of evidence detection and documentation.

Preventing сross-сontamination

Passive cooling systems in light sources are designed to ensure that air remains contained within the device, avoiding the release of airflow into the environment. Unlike active cooling systems that can transfer microscopic particles, passive cooling eliminates the risk of cross-contamination between crime scenes. This is crucial when handling sensitive evidence, where even the slightest contamination could compromise forensic results and the integrity of legal proceedings.

For the Crime Scene or the Laboratory

Crime scene: The imaging device and light source are mounted on a special handle to assist in detecting traces.

Laboratory: The light source can be mounted on a tripod and the capturing device on a pantograph, allowing hands-free examination.
