Located near Incheon International Airport, the resort features luxury hotels, the nation's largest foreigner-only casino, a 15,000-seat arena, shopping, dining, and a year-round indoor water park.

Challenge

To enhance the efficiency of customer onboarding and better comply with anti-money laundering (AML) regulations, the resort management company recognized the need for a more advanced system. The new solution had to address entry delays and facilitate on-site ID scanning and verification.

Pursuing the goal of streamlining the onboarding procedure, INSPIRE Entertainment Resort initiated a project to enhance how passport information was captured and registered. The company sought a fast yet fully compliant ID verification solution capable of recognizing and reading documents from all over the world.

Solution

After testing several ID verification technologies, INSPIRE Entertainment Resort deployed Regula Document Reader SDK as part of its AML system. Regula’s solution stood out for its superior document reading and validation speed, user interface, and overall performance.

It is now operational at six stations at the casino entrance, where it assists with guest registration by extracting and validating passport data in seconds.

For the foreigner-only Inspire casino, this extensive global coverage is a vital asset to ensure fast and reliable checks of any document, regardless of the guest’s origin.

Regula’s high-accuracy data extraction plays a critical role in the casino’s compliance with AML regulations. Upon capturing and validating key identity details such as full name, date of birth, nationality, and document number, Regula Document Reader SDK automatically passes them into Inspire’s AML system, which is configured to query external watchlists and compliance databases. Thanks to Regula’s flexible architecture, integration with third-party AML databases was straightforward and required minimal effort.

Since the implementation of Regula Document Reader SDK, INSPIRE casino has seen noticeable improvements in guest registration efficiency.
