Regula Signed a Partnership Agreement With the International Air Transport Association
Regula and the International Air Transport Association (IATA) recently signed a partnership agreement in a joint effort to develop solutions to improve automatic recognition and validation of travel documents. IATA will develop mobile applications using Regula Document Reader SDK to automate mass processing of ID and travel documents as part of the planned expansion of IATA’s Timatic Solutions portfolio. Automatic form filling aims to save time and help to avoid errors in collecting document data.
General Information:
As per IATA industry performance statistics airlines carried 3.8 billion passengers on scheduled services in 2016, with a 7% year over year increase. Due to this increasing demand for air travel, the role of smart systems and automation in all stages of passenger journey – both in and outside of the airport – is becoming ever more important. Addressing these challenges requires integration of modern and complex solutions which make travelling across countries and continents quick and comfortable.
